Faculty Participation in the Graduation Ceremony

Al-Quds University welcomes faculty members participating in the graduation ceremony. This page provides the main instructions related to participation, academic attire, eligibility, and procession arrangements.

Participation in the Ceremony

We are pleased to invite you to participate in the graduation ceremony for bachelor’s and postgraduate students for the academic year 2025/2026.

Faculty members are kindly requested to follow this page for updates regarding the arrangements of their respected procession during the ceremony days.

The gathering time and location for participating faculty members will be announced later. Faculty members who wish to participate in both ceremonies are kindly requested to indicate this by email at: pr@alquds.edu.

Academic Attire

The ceremony attire consists of the academic gown and a sash bearing the university logo. The attire varies according to the academic or administrative status of the participating faculty member.

Academic Attire Categories

  • Deans: Black robe with a white sash.
  • Faculty members from Instructor to Lecturer: Black robe without black sleeve patches, with a green sash.
  • Faculty members from Assistant Professor to Professor: Black robe with black sleeve patches, with a green sash.
Please visit the Warehouses Department in the Faculty of Educational Sciences building to receive or exchange the academic attire.

Eligibility to Participate

Full-time faculty members are eligible to participate directly in the ceremony.

Part-time faculty members who wish to participate must submit a participation request to the Vice President for Academic Affairs through their dean.

Direct Participation

Available for full-time faculty members.

Part-Time Faculty

Participation requires submitting an official request.

Request Channel

The request should be submitted through the dean to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Faculty Message

Dear colleagues participating in the graduation ceremony for bachelor’s and postgraduate students for the academic year 2025/2026,

Greetings,

You are kindly requested to review the graduation ceremony arrangements, which are planned to take place at the Outdoor Northern Amphitheater.

  • All participating members who do not have graduation attire are requested to visit the Warehouses Department in the Faculty of Educational Sciences building to receive their attire.
  • Parking spaces allocated for participating faculty members will be announced later.
  • The gathering time and location for participating colleagues will be announced later so that the procession can be arranged according to the approved instructions.

Procession Arrangement

Details regarding the faculty procession arrangement, the route to the ceremony location, and the entrance procedure to the Northern Amphitheater will be announced later.

Instructions During the Ceremony

  • Participating members will be seated according to academic rank, with titles respected.
  • A Public Relations representative will be present to assist in arranging participating members in the processions.
  • Upon entering the seating area / ceremony stage, all participating members should remain standing until the other ceremony processions enter and the Palestinian national anthem is completed.
  • The ceremony proceedings will begin according to the approved official program.
  • Departure from the ceremony area will take place according to the approved procession order.
